Fred was born Albert Stallone to a butcher and sweatshop worker, and hated the idea of working jobs similar to theirs. When he turned sixteen he headed out west, and started work as a shotgun rider for a coach. One day a gang of ten attacked the coach, and Young Albert killed three of them before the gang managed to subdue the coach and empty any purse they found. As the gang began to ride away, their leader offered Albert one of the now vacant horses, saying that he could shoot better than at least three men in his band, and that was enough to get in with him.
Albert accepted, ready to move up in the world. After a few years, he was the gang's leader, and had a massive bounty on his head. So one day in a shootout with a band of sheriffs and Marshals, one of his men was killed. Albert decided it was time for Albert to fade away, so he switched his gun with the man's and set fire to the building. After fleeing, he took the name of the now dead man, Fred Dutch.
